Asphalt Paving

Often regarded as the construction material of highways and roadways, the usage of asphalt has also gained popularity in other construction areas. Asphalt is a cost-efficient application for many projects and can be treated to withstand even the heaviest loads and most extreme weather patterns. Through proper maintenance, asphalt is quite durable and can even be easily repaired should the need arise.

Paving

Patton provides paving for new construction of asphalt surfaces as well as the extension and reconstruction of existing asphalt surfaces. Services include complete base construction as well as asphalt application.

Patching

Used to effectively repair asphalt surfaces whose strength and stability have been undermined, patching allows failed areas in a pavement system to be saw cut in rectangular portions which are then excavated (Infrared Heat Technology used where applicable). The prepared area is then tacked with an asphalt tack coat to ensure proper bond and filled with asphalt. The area is then compacted using a vibratory compactor or roller. Patching greatly improves the appearance and functionality of existing pavement systems.

Infrared Heat Technology

Infrared Heat Technology offers a minimally invasive and cost-effective solution for absolving cracking and failed areas in the pavement system in order to restore strength and aesthetic. The technology recycles existing asphalt as rejuvenators are applied to the old asphalt to introduce new oils to the process, providing a long lasting repair. New asphalt is added on an as-needed basis and compacted using a vibratory compactor or roller.

Resurfacing

When repairs to an existing surface are necessary, the old asphalt surface is tacked with an asphalt tack coat, followed by a new application of asphalt over the old surface.

Driveways

Our crew and equipment fleet can construct new asphalt driveways or resurface existing ones in a cost-effective, timely manner with the highest quality workmanship.

Cracksealing

Filling and sealing isolated cracks in the pavement system can extend pavement life by preventing surface water from penetrating the pavement structure, causing additional cracking and weakness that could undermine strength and stability over time. Cracks are prepared and injected with a rubberized asphalt material in order to fill cracks and protect the sub-base.

Sealcoating

Sealcoating is a fundamental way to provide protection and maintenance of the asphalt pavement system. A coal tar emulsion is applied to the surface which fills small voids in the asphalt and restores its original color. Sealcoating inhibits deterioration and protects from oxidation and gas or oil spills.

Striping

Clearly striped pavement enhances the look and safety of a well-paved parking lot. Patton provides any type of striping required in a parking lot, including striping, directional arrows, curb painting, custom stencils and signage.

Speed Bumps

Patton constructs speed bumps, asphalt devices typically three to four feet deep and three inches high, to provide improved traffic flow and safety for pedestrians.
